Over the past 40 years in my FFA journey as a member to my role as National FFA's chief executive officer, there has been one continuous thread, Dr. Larry Case. When I memorized his name for quiz bowl little did I know I would be blessed to serve under him as an employee of National FFA and a state leader. Dr. Case shepherded our organization out of declining membership in the 1980s to growth in the 1990s and into a new millennium. Because of his legacy and leadership, National FFA is now making a positive difference in the lives of more than 850,000 members annually. During our years as colleagues in the agricultural education profession, Dr. Case proved to be the right leader for the right time. His steady hand guided the relocation of the FFA Center to Indianapolis and the national FFA convention to Louisville and, ultimately, Indianapolis. Through it all, Dr. Case led with a heart of service: service to students, service to the profession of FFA and agricultural education, service to his community, service to his nation, and service to his faith. Thank you, Dr. Case, for choosing to invest your life's work in "developing the potential of students for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. Mission accomplished! - Scott Stump, Chief Executive Officer, National FFA Organization
