Despite Curthon's childhood desire to be an author one day it didn't take centre stage in his life. This dream didn't have a timeline because medicine was his passion so he thought writing would wait.
When the horror of the events began to unfold in his life, Curthon believed that the dream of writing any book would be dead with him, but as the song says "Mercy said no!" On the contrary, those events made that dream even more alive and possible! It gave him a story to tell and the opportunity to meet people who could help him make the book a reality. So this book came to fruition at the right time.
All this is a testament to God turning graves into gardens, a mess into messages, and giving beauty for ashes.
