After the Mad Hatter tries to cut Alice's hair, she runs away and finds herself in a garden. After a croquet match there, Alice angers the Queen of Hearts, who orders that her head be cut off. Alice then wakes up to discover that it was all a dream.

Carroll, Lewis: - Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known by his pen name Lewis Carroll. Carroll was an English writer of children's fiction, notably Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass . He was noted for his facility at word play, logic, and fantasy. He was also a mathematician, photographer, inventor and Anglican deacon.
