About the Author

Khosla, Maya: - Maya Khosla is the poet laureate of Sonoma County (2018- 20). Her work in the natural world has led her into the wild, to the page, and to the screen. Her books of poetry include ALL THE FIRES OF WIND AND LIGHT (Sixteen Rivers Press), KEEL BONE (Bear Star Press) and HEART OF THE TEARING (Red Dust Press), and she is the author of a guidebook, Web of Water: Life in Redwood Creek. Her film Searching for the Gold Spot, which received a star pick from Library Journal, is devoted to wild places that grow to support high biodiversity after natural wildfire.
