Apologia: Contextualization, Globalization, and Mission in Theological Education
Apologia is about contemporary theological education -- its current state and its future. While many current trends in seminaries and departments of theology bring important new insights to the study of religion, says Max Stackhouse, they also erode -- sometimes unwittingly -- the capacity to speak of God, truth, and justice with warranted confidence. About the Author
Stackhouse, Max L.: - Max L. Stackhouse (1935-2016) was the Stephen Colwell Professor of Christian Ethics at Princeton Theological Seminary. Prior to teaching at Princeton, he taught at the Andover Newton Theological School for nearly thirty years. In addition to his teaching, he served as an editor at large for the Christian Century and also served as president of the American Theological Society and the Society for Christian Ethics.
