Are All Religions True?

Harold A. Netland

How you should think about religious diversity.

We live in a diverse world. Religious pluralism holds that each religion is of equal worth and offers a legitimate lifestyle. But Christianity claims Jesus is the only way to be saved. Is Christianity bigoted?

In Are All Religions True?, Harold A. Netland offers a Christian response to religious pluralism. Netland considers the nature of religious claims, tolerance, and the great commission. Wisdom is needed. While Christians should support aspects of religious diversity, we also believe that Jesus is the Lord and Savior of all. Learn how you can be devoted to Christ while showing love for those of other faiths.

The Questions for Restless Minds series applies God's word to today's issues. Each short book faces tough questions honestly and clearly, so you can think wisely, act with conviction, and become more like Christ.

Praise for this book

In Are All Religions True?, Harold Netland tackles a difficult--yet important--question: 'How should Christians think theologically about the diverse variety of religious expression in light of God's revelation in Jesus Christ?' Having reflected thoughtfully on these issues for many years, Netland offers readers a helpful theological roadmap to navigate the complex terrain of Christian conversation on religious diversity. He shows how one can be faithful to Christ's universal lordship while treating adherents of non-Christian religions with dignity and honor.

--Keith E. Johnson, author of Rethinking the Trinity and Religious Pluralism; director of Theological Development and Culture, Cru

This generation of Christians inhabit cultures that sometimes reject not only biblical revelation about reality, but also the reality of reality itself. The "Questions for Restless Minds" series poses many of the toughest questions faced by young Christians to some of the world's foremost Christian thinkers and leaders.

--Russell Moore, director, Christianity Today Public Theology Project

We have written short books pitched at undergraduates who want arguments that are accessible and stimulating, but invariably courteous. The material is comprehensive enough that it has become an important resource for pastors and other campus leaders who devote their energies to work with students. Each essay ends with a brief annotated bibliography, intended for readers who want to probe a little further.
