Finished reading "Autism in History" by Rab Houston and Uta Frith (2000). Mainly using court documents, the authors diagnose #autism in a man who lived 300 years ago. They show that it might be possible to "recognize autism despite vast differences in culture". #psychiatry https://t.co/XPavbPqzcF

Thrilled to see that my history of #autism and #neurodiversity, #NeuroTribes, is the autism book that appears on most Amazon wishlists, alongside @Bprizant1e's great "Uniquely Human." Throw in a copy of @EricMGarcia's superb "We're Not Broken" too! https://www.amazon.com/Neurotribes-Legacy-Autism-Future-Neurodiversity/dp/0399185615/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1440782481&sr=1-1 https://t.co/5nN964JYjz
