Alongside the 23 tales, a special section at the end of this volume contains four additional works by Beatrix Potter that were not published during her lifetime.

All the stories within feature their original illustrations. This collection includes the 2002 re-originated edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit, which restores all illustrations from its first edition. The stories are arranged in the order in which they were first published so they may be read in their proper sequence.
