About the Author

Thomas G. Long, Bandy Professor of Preaching at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, has been an ordained Presbyterian minister since 1971. In addition to his previous teaching positions at Princeton Theological Seminary, Columbia Theological Seminary, and Erskine Theological Seminary, he also served as director of Geneva Press, a division of the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation. He and his wife, Kimberly, live in Atlanta, Georgia.
