Billy Ireland
Columbus, Ohio's most beloved cartoonist, Billy Ireland, worked for the Columbus Dispatch from the age of eighteen in 1898 until his death in 1935. Hometown life, everyday events, and ordinary people were important to Ireland. About the Author
Lucy Shelton Caswell is the founder and former curator of the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum at The Ohio State University. She is founding editor emerita of INKS: The Journal of the Comics Study Society and recently, along with Jared Gardner, edited Drawing the Line (OSU Press, 2017).
