About the Author

Ebeid, Rifk: - Rifk Ebeid is a Palestinian-American Muslim writer, attorney, and pediatric speech language pathologist. Ebeid has a JD from George Mason University School of Law, an MA in Human Rights Studies from Columbia University, an MA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Colorado, and a BA in Political Science and Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from the University of Florida. She is a children's book author of books that center around the Palestinian experience, including "You Are the Color" and "Baba, What Does My Name Mean? A Journey To Palestine," which was nominated for the 2020 Palestine Book Awards and came in highly recommended by their panel of judges. She is also the producer of "I Am From Palestine," an award winning animated short film about the Palestinian-American experience in school.
Alshalabi, Noor: - Noor Alshalabi is a Jordan-based illustrator who started drawing ever since she learned how to hold a pencil. After getting her BA in Visual Arts and Design, she pursued her dream of turning her imagination into reality through children's books. You can always find Noor with a cup of coffee, curled up with a good book, watching movies, playing with her pet bird, spending time with a friend, or going for a hike. Nature is both her source of inspiration and relaxation.
