Willson, J. N.: - "J.N. Willson is a Colorado-born, overly imaginative bibliophile who spent much of her childhood chasing fairies and riding dragons into the sunset. While she could always tell a wild story, she didn't start writing until elementary school, when her favorite English teacher encouraged J.N. to put her imagination to paper and pen. Once she started, she never really stopped - even when most of her early stories didn't make much sense.Throughout childhood, J.N. had the opportunity to travel through different parts of Europe, from the British Isles to the Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia) and St. Petersburg, Russia. During her final summer of undergrad, she spent six weeks studying abroad in Prague (with a holiday weekend spent in Budapest, Hungary). These experiences continue to inspire her writing and shape many of the environments she sets her stories in. A lifelong lover of good stories, J.N. enjoys reading just about anything (at least once). Of all that she's read, her favorite genres are fantasy fiction and horror - both of which you can find her dreaming up new ideas for during long walks or at two o'clock in the morning. Some of her favorite authors include Algernon Blackwood, Charles Dickens, C.S. Lewis, Clive Barker, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and the father of fantasy, J.R.R. Tolkien.J.N. Willson currently resides in Northern Colorado, where she can be found tending to (and talking with) her plants, enjoying time with family, or curling up with a good book."
