About the Author

Leonard, A. M.: - A.M. Leonard has lived her whole life in Upstate New York...and anywhere else a good book can transport her. The daughter of two veterinarians, she grew up semi-feral on a rural farm, which gave her a lifelong love of animals and nature. When not creating a fantasy world where the good guys always win (eventually), her favorite things involve caring for plants and animals, wandering in the peace and quiet of forests and wide-open spaces, making music, and spending time with family and friends. Urban environments, noisy crowds, and heavy traffic are "not her favorites." Although she's extra fond of her dog, cat and horses, she is beginning to think pet rabbits are very cool, too. She and her husband live on a small farm surrounded by several thousand acres of state-owned forest.
