Bobby the Blue-Footed Booby Gets Bullied

Sharon Bowles

"Bobby, the Blue-Footed Booby Gets Bullied" is a children's picture book for approximately ages 4-8. It is a story about a young bird that recently moved to a new home in the Galapagos Islands. His concerns and fears about going to a new school are realized when he meets a bully, Sally the Lightfoot Crab. With the help and wisdom of his new friend, the 105-year-old Delores the Tortoise, Bobby and his schoolmates learn why bullying is wrong and what to do when confronted with a bully.

The book is filled with information about different animal species that inhabit the Galapagos Islands, and is told with humor and compassion. The book also contains two pages of "Fun Facts" describing what is unique about the animals who reside there, along with some conservation information.

"Bobby, the Blue-Footed Booby" is the perfect read for children in our times, with its educational focus on bullying, kindness, and environmental and species awareness.
