About the Author

Dr. Thomas is a retired chemical engineer who has lived in Cedar Mountain, NC, for 40 years, is a hiker, backpacker, and nature lover curious about the history of the area. He authored "The Sierra Club Guide to the Jocassee Gorges", and the book "Dam It, No!" about protecting the Horsepasture River.
