Jesslyn Blue is a multi-talented artist who wears many hats: author, poet, educator, model, curator, freelance editor, workshop facilitator, and painter. She is originally from the Jersey shore and proudly achieved her B.A. in English from Rutgers University. Currently, she is working on a poetry CD, The Phoenix Project, to follow the release of C'est La Vie: The 2nd Edition. She has produced creative writing workshops, slams, and art events in Newark, NJ under her brainchild, Open Words. Some of her previous poetry performances include the Nuyorican Poet's Café, the InspiredWordNYC's Open Mic & Showcase, the Jersey Shore Poetry Slam, Evolution Open Mic, Project Venus: An All-Female Music & Poetry Showcase, Chris Rockwell Presents, the 2nd Annual Black Artists Review, and the Military Park Reading Series.
