ABOUT THE ARTIST I'm Maxine Gadd, an internationally recognized and published artist, known especially for my fairy/fantasy art. My achievements include winning the John Lunghi Award for Graphic Design 1985 being a finalist in the Black Swan Portraiture Prize 2014, In 2006, my book, Faeries and other Fantastical Folk, sold over 45,000 copies. I cover several genres, using a wide variety of mediums. The versatility of my work enables it to be reproduced widely and has been licensed to different companies, appearing as cross stitch patterns, jigsaw puzzles, T-shirts, prints, cards, etc. My art has appeared in local newspapers, FAE Magazine, on the cover of a Japanese game magazine, and on promotional posters for festivals hosted by Karen Kay of FAE Magazine. I love travelling and wish to incorporate more of it into the business. As a special guest at Faerieworlds 2008, Portland, Oregon, and in Glastonbury, England, 2014, I enjoyed meeting fellow artists and the many people who follow me on Facebook and Pinterest.
