Chisel Points in the Ground

Carl Drost

Chisel Points in the Ground is the memoir of Carl Drost-a farm kid, veteran, and man of faith who has led a life well-lived.

Born in 1947, Carl grew up on a small farm northwest of Oskaloosa, Iowa. He was one of only a few farm kids in the area who got a college education. He began his career teaching secondary industrial arts . . . and then in December 1969 his birthday was called as number ninety-eight in the first National Draft Lottery for the Vietnam War.

Carl became a sergeant in the U.S. Army and served a tour in Vietnam around Da Nang. When he got home, he and his beloved wife, Martha, opened a farm equipment dealership and led several community projects. Throughout it all, Carl has remained steadfast in his Christian faith, striving each day to be a witness to God.

All profits from this book will be donated to the National Vietnam War Museum in Weatherford, Texas.
