Coronado 92

James E. Cherry

Loosely based on actual events with six characters in Phoenix, Arizona's downtown arts and music scene of the early nineties. The book is divided into days instead of chapters. As a week hurtles characters work out critical life issues while a serial killer stalks their neighborhood.

A couple struggling towards marriage, a homeless poet, a topless dancer, and an addicted couple confront life in the underground of a sizzling summertime desert city.

This book captures time and place as it chronicles colorful characters inhabiting a unique historic neighborhood at the end of a century and does so with humor and heart.

About the Author

James Cherry grew up moving around. He settled down into the life of an illustrator in Manhattan. When that career slowed, he moved west to pursue writing. Editing websites, writing for magazines, websites, and newspapers occupies his time when he's not writing fiction. Coronado 92 is his first novel. 2048: A Diary came next.
