A permanent injunction has prohibited U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services from approving the first Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals petitions as of July 16, 2021. The ruling, granted by a federal court, permits existing DACA participants to preserve their deferred action and accompanying job permission.
