I wrote this book for you, the alcoholic.
I wrote this book for you, the gambler, the overeater, the sexaholic, the spender, the prisoner of whatever poisonous bars that are holding you back from living your best life. I wrote this book while I was involuntarily committed into an alcohol and substance abuse program, a program that saved my life despite every single odd and intention I had. My name is Michael Kimball and I am dependent on drugs and alcohol, I am a gambler, an overeater, a sexaholic, a spender and inherently drawn to whatever poison is available.
I am an addict.
I wrote this book because I didn't know any other way to express how I was feeling and maybe you can relate. Sometimes it is difficult to say what you are experiencing, to articulate your emotions. When I am feeling hurt, in pain or vulnerable I tend to express myself in poetry and rhyme whereas in my active addiction I expressed myself with anger, isolation, ruining precious relationships and making my life and the life of those around me miserable.
