I was born in 1938 in High Flats, New York, a hamlet so obscure that it's not even on the map. In fact, I will repeat my long standing offer to send a free copy of my latest book to the first person who can show me where it is. No natives or relatives please. I have been blessed with good health, a fairly high energy level, a loving family, and from a life of many rewards and missed chances, a sense of humor and a deep faith in God, whether or not that shows through. I am somewhat maniacal about books, words and writing but despite the fact that I am very poor, or perhaps, because of it, I am the world's worst marketer. I write the books, currently in the murder mystery genre, with my sturdy Sheriff Gogebic, and if one or two are bought and read, well great, but if not, I write another one. I am allergic to cats, love dogs, the Chicago Cubs (win or lose), hiking, skiing, biking, motorcycling, golfing, most challenges, and, of course, reading and writing.
