Elementary Vibration Analysis

M. Oussama Safadi

Elementary Vibration Analysis covers topics commonly explored in foundational engineering vibrations courses. It is developed to well support upper division undergraduate students and first-year graduate students majoring in aerospace engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, applied mechanics, and physics.

The opening chapter provides students with a review of classical dynamics. The textbook covers Single Degree Of Freedom (SDOF) systems and Multi Degree Of Freedom (MDOF) systems. An introduction to continuous systems is also covered. Helpful appendices review vector algebra, analytic solution to a cubic equation, matrix algebra, area moment and product of inertia, mass moment and product of inertia, elementary differential equations, and systems of units.

Comprehensive in nature, Elementary Vibration Analysis is an ideal resource for courses and programs in engineering and physics.
