In a time of kings and idols, one man dared to speak for the Living God.
Elijah: Fire from Heaven immerses you into the blazing days of a prophet driven by fierce courage and unwavering obedience.
As Israel descends into the worship of Ba'al, one man rises to confront two of the most treacherous rulers in history: King Ahab and Queen Jezebel. That man is Elijah.
Pursued by royal armies, sustained by ravens, and called to stand alone against a kingdom in chaos, Elijah walks the line between fear and faith-between heaven and earth. Now, with judgment looming and enemies closing in, he becomes the most hunted man in Israel.
Elijah: Fire From Heaven is a moving work of biblical historical fiction that brings one of scripture's most powerful prophets to life-with vivid realism and inspiring faith-the fire of heaven. Elijah was a man who lived in a time hauntingly similar to our own and whose greatest desire was to serve his Lord.

This was a great read from cover to cover. The Author weaves a grand narrative that brings the life and time of Elijah to life. It is masterfully crafted which is refreshing when it comes to biblical figures. Theologians and commentaries are usually very enigmatic in presenting subject matter, which is why this novel is an inspiring breath of fresh air. The humanity of men and women of the bible is often overlooked. Reading this novel brings new light to this generation in a very entertaining way. Whether someone is a Christian or not, they would find this novel to be an adventure.

I've read other books about Elijah and watched movies, but this biblically based novel has given me the OT story more completely than any others. Not only do we get full sense of Elijah's life, but also the kings of Israel and Judah and the villain, Jezebel, are portrayed with an uncommon depth of perceptiveness. The author also conveys the tasks and purpose of the prophets.
