"I have always been intrigued by the practice of Kintsugi-where something broken is made whole and even more beautiful. Many facing cancer, myself included, have experienced this first hand. Paul blesses us by baring his cracks of grief and loss by filling them with the gold of personal experience and global collaboration to tell a story of hope and healing. This concise, scientifically informed, and thoughtfully presented guide is a gift to us all."

Dr Nasha Winters

Author: The Metabolic Approach to Cancer

"Winston Churchill said 'Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened'. Paul McKenna was actually propelled into the reality of cancer through his partner's illness. Rather than 'hurrying off', Paul has honed the many truths they learnt into this well-crafted book. As a cancer survivor myself, and one who has spent time with many others working on transforming the disease, I highly recommend Empowering Hope."

Cathy Brown

Author: My Answer to Cancer

"Being confronted with a serious, life-threatening diagnosis such as cancer is a huge shock that everyone experiences in a very different, traumatic way. There is one thing that most people have in common, though: Resorting to the internet in a desperate attempt to learn more, find ways of dealing with the diagnosis and, hopefully, a plan to not only survive but also thrive for as long as possible after treatment. Unfortunately, online investigations usually result in feelings of overwhelm, panic and even despair. Having a resource such as Paul McKenna's "Empowering Hope" is a much more effective, gentle and supportive way of obtaining an evidence-based, realistic and actionable roadmap that covers the basic healing principles. The survival stories and additional resources provide additional inspiration and hope, which is another important cornerstone of every cancer journey. Thank you for creating this beautifully illustrated book, Paul!"
