John Warner, PhD, is a Research Scientist at the University of Florida's Fort Lauderdale Research and Education Center. He has published numerous articles about his research and is the author of Every Foreign Land which tells of his Jewish upbringing and encountering of the Bahá'í Faith, his subsequent cross-county bicycle ride and travels to Ecuador as a Bahá'í Pioneer and as an agronomist in the Peace Corps. John remained in Ecuador for over 17 years then returned to the United States where he obtained MS and PhD degrees in entomology at the University of Florida and also became a black belt in Karate. John is an active teacher of the Bahá'í Faith which he has taught in Ecuador, Trinidad, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, as well as in the United States. He currently lives in Boca Raton, Florida.
