Bob White

Small town detective Tony Petrocelli's college age daughter, Brianna, has been abducted by escaped felon, Frank Scarpello. The ransom demand is simple. Tony must refuse to testify in the upcoming RICO case against Frankie's father. But Tony would never violate his moral code to do what Frankie wants. Tony, and his partner, Sergeant Michelle Baxter, follow lead after lead in their search for Bri, but every clue takes them to the same place -- nowhere. To save his daughter, Tony must come up with a daring plan that puts him at odds with police policy and the advice of his colleagues. The chase ends in a confrontation where Tony's own life may be the price for Bri's freedom. Tony's only edge, a thin, single chance, a trick card he has to play without a mistake. Tricks. Frankie has one more up his sleeve. And it's going to be a killer....

About the Author

An avid reader since childhood, Bob White began writing during his high school years. He sold his first short story at nineteen, and has been writing ever since. After college and graduate studies Bob spent his earlier years in Christian ministry and mortgage banking. Writing, however, was never far away, resulting in more short stories, and a non-fiction book. After his children were grown Bob began working at novel writing. Reading, however, was never far away. He devoured detective stories by John McDonald, Sue Grafton, John Kellerman, Robert B. Parker, Jefery Deaver, Mickey Spillane, and of course the master of the police procedural, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Bob's first published novel, Abducted, has sold not only across North America, but in Europe, Australia, and South Africa. More mystery novels followed, including two with an FBI profiler, Gabby Girard, as the main character. Bob lives with his wife and a sixteen pound black cat near wine country in Southern California and is now working on the seventh Petrocelli mystery, GUILTY.
