About the Author

La Touche-Howard, Sylvette Antonia: - Sylvette La Touche-Howard, Ph.D., NCC, CHES is the assistant dean for the Office of Public Health Practice and Community Engagement, as well as an associate clinical professor and the program coordinator for the BS-MPH degree program at the University of Maryland. She holds a Ph.D. in behavioral and community health from the University of Maryland, an M.A. in mental health community counseling from Andrews University, and a B.A. in psychology and women's studies from McGill University.
Wu, Shuling: - Shuling Wu, MSOTR/L, MS Lac is a Ph.D. student in the PCS program at the University of Maryland. She holds an M.S. in occupational therapy from Stony Brook University, an M.S. in acupuncture from the TriState College of Acupuncture, and a B.S. in health science. She is also a certified health and nutrition coach.
