About the Author

I am not a physicist, but a gynecologist. My biography is of little interest. I was born in Iran, studied medicine in Switzerland, and received my postgraduate formation in England;where I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. I practised my profession in England, in Iran, and in Switzerland where I am now retired.By my origin and my education I am, I think, sensitive to both oriental and occidental culture. My major line of interest, beside my profession has always been the science of cosmology and the philosophy of existence. The world that we see around us, where does it all come from? How did it start? and where would it end? where are we in the complexe space-time continuum? These fundamental and fascinating questions have always been at the center of human reflexion and thought throughout centuries. If the questions are not brought up everyday, they nevertheless occupy unconsciously the mind of everybody. As we know no definite answer is available as yet, but science, during the last 70 years or so, has proposed major rational explanation towards their understanding. Data from deep cosmological observations, Einstein's theories of Relativity and Gravitation, and Planck's Quantum theory have contributed greatly to this end. In this book, these theories are reviewed breively in the beginings, hoping that it would facilitate the reading and understanding of the main subject of the book.
