Secondly it is the result of hours of studying done by Karl into the subject, in the book Karl reports his findings as well as debating using his own opinions and views to really engage the reader into provoking thoughts and debate. About the Author

Karl Newton is a 31-year-old recovering addict. Karl spent half his lifetime battling addiction to drink and drugs until embarking on the road to recovery fully in February 2015. The main battle was with drink, drinking daily in excess of 8/9 pints of lager as well as spirit chasers and super strength cider. There were also occasions of cannabis, ecstasy and a frequent use of cocaine. Karl's addiction issues often led to lose of self-care, relationships and jobs as well as financial insecurity. There were many occasions when Karl turned to not only criminal activities to fund his habit, but also an endless amount of loans leaving him in a lifetimes worth of debt. Karl now writes a blog about addiction and recovery which to date has had over 10.000 visits from IP addresses worldwide. Karl also has a huge social media presence on Facebook and Twitter where he has over 1,400 followers and climbing daily. Karl has appeared in many local newspapers and has made 4 radio appearances with the local BBC radio station and has a firm working relationship with the producers who have agreed to let him come onto the air and promote the book once completed.
