Great Blue Herons: Studies For Wildlife Artists

Al Lodwick

This book contains 34 color photographs covering many situations that wildlife artists could have difficulty getting "just right" in their works. Examples are perching postures, close-ups of heads (including how Great Blue Heron's are able to move their eyes), foraging activities (including a fish in the bird's bill), flight postures, and close-ups of sections of the body. Also included are narratives about these magnificent birds. Non-artists will enjoy the photography and descriptions.
