Kirk Brothers grew up in Kentucky and has over twenty-five years of experience with preacher training and leadership training camps (as camper, counselor, and staff member). He has led or co-led numerous camps in the U.S. and Latin America. Kirk has been preaching regularly since age fifteen and has been in full-time ministry for over twenty years (in Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee). He has participated in mission trips to Israel, Ukraine, Panama, India, England, Nicaragua, Peru, and Costa Rica. Kirk holds B.A. and M.Div degrees from David Lipscomb University and a Masters of New Testament degree from Freed-Hardeman University. He has his Ph.D. from Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. His dissertation topic was A Cross-Cultural Study of Factors Motivating Church of Christ Ministry Students to Enter Ministry. Kirk is a Bible professor at Freed-Hardeman University and serves as a part-time missionary with the Forrest Park church of Christ in Valdosta, GA. He married Cindy Markham in 1988 and they have two children, Katie and Hannah.
