Music fan who makes music
I am looking for book recommendations, preferably non-fiction and about music. My favorite recent reads are Miles Davis' autobiography and Pamela Des Barres' "I'm With The Band" if that helps. No fancy academic shit please.

Bibliomaniac that refuses intervention. Happily retired after 41 years in the library. Loves Lake Tahoe, spouse, & books, not necessarily in that order.
Almost finished with GROUPIES by Sarah Priscus which captures the 70s music scene very well. I keep trying to figure out the real life characters they are based on, though. :-) Those who like this should read Pamela Des Barres' I'M WITH THE BAND. #ewgc
