The story revolves around Bonnie and her family, Her mother Lana is a housewife who babysits for extra income, while her father works as a full time mechanic. Jazz is the older sister who likes to tease Bonnie but will do anything to protect her.

Even though there were tough times and some hardships, things were never bad for Bonnie and Jazz until her parents got involved with a man named Smith and his right-hand man William. When Terry meets the two men, they ultimately guide him into a world of drugs and crime.

Bonnie and Jazz's world quickly gets turned upside down when Terry and Lana both start experimenting with the use of drugs which alters who Terry once was. Bonnie and Jazz began to struggle with their new reality of abuse and betrayal when Terry becomes paranoid and develpos a split-personality. Lana develops a case of Stockholm syndrome and make excuses for Terry's abusive behavior.
