Do you love thrifting? Do you just buy for yourself and family? Or do you resell items? I have done all of those and love it. There's the bargain hunting aspect. I saved $10 on that shirt! Or there's the, I can sell this vase for twice this amount! I'll make a killing! There's the "thrill of the hunt." I can't believe I found this and it's so cheap. There's the eco-friendly part. Look at all this stuff I'm keeping out of the landfill. You probably have more thoughts of your own.

Whatever your reasons, it is a fun way to spend a shopping day. My daughter and I have thrifted since she was months old. She is now 37 but when we get a day off it's always, "Wanta go thrifting?' When we visit my sons' we have favorite thrift stores in their areas, We find new ones when we vacation. Interestingly enough, we love thrifting so much that 18 years ago we opened a consignment shop in our small town. So thrifting is a huge part of our life.

One thing I didn't do in all these years was keep track of my purchases. I do regret that. I see things in the house and wonder, "Where did I get that, ?" or "How much did I pay for that?' If you don't write it down, several years later you won't remember and if you are like me you want to remember.

To help others solve this problem I have created a simple log book to track your purchases. It included a place to write where the item was purchased, how much it cost, an estimate of savings and what you plan to do with it. It even has a space to rate the purchase from 1-5. (5 being the best of course). If you are long time thrifter or just starting out I think you will enjoy using it.

The log book is 6x9 inches, 100 pages on white paper with a glossy cover. Perfect to slip in your purse or backpack.
