Karana's tribe has been brutally attacked by otter hunters. The death of many of them forces the clan chief to make the decision to leave the island. Karana also wants to go with her people, but she cannot because her brother Ramo has stayed behind. A few days later, Ramo is attacked by a pack of wild dogs and dies. Will Karana, alone, be able to survive the island's threats and, in doing so, avenge her brother's death?
