Les Amours de Hafiz - Sept Melodies - Parôles de Hafiz - Op. 38

Blair Fairchild

"Les Amours de Hafiz, Op. 38" is a 1914 collection of classical music compositions by American composer and diplomat J. Blair Fairchild (1877 - 1933). Fairchild is often grouped with the Indianists together with Charles Wakefield Cadman, Arthur Nevin, Charles Sanford Skilton, and Arthur Farwell, despite only being loosely affiliated with the group. Contents include: "Une très douce mélodie", "Le soir parfumé", "L'heure merveilleuse", "Dans la nuit profonde", "L'aimer toujours", "Oh regarde moi", and "Extase". Including the original sheet music presented clearly and with wide margins, this volume is ideal for students of music and others with an interest in playing classical music. Many vintage books such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with a specially-commissioned new introduction the history of musical notation.
