Juan Carlos Gomez was born in Havana, Cuba on August 18, 1958. He immigrated to the United States in 1967 were his creativity came to life. His love for all types of music, instruments, and painting took Juan to many places throughout his life. His true passion for writing began at an early age of 13 when he wrote poems that were private, and near and dear to his heart. His calling to communicate to the world what he felt and his love of writing became his primary interest at a difficult time in his life. It began merely 24 hours before the passing of his beloved mother in 1998. That is when he decided to become a writer. His calling to right "There Is A Reason Why" came at 2 AM. "Something woke me up," Juan explained, "and I knew I had to write it immediately. The first thing I found was a paper phone bill to write on, and I just began to write." At that exact moment is where his journey as an author began. He finally discovered his true calling, and he knew that he needed to reach out and express his heart to the world. Juan was ordained as a Minister in 2008. He currently resides in Florida with his family. He is the loving father to four beautiful daughters and one precious son. "My children are my heart and soul. They are my true inspiration. I feel I have been touched by God as I am truly blessed."
