Author of What It Feels Like for a Girl (Penguin, 2021) I'm not here much but I do pop in sometimes to discuss, erm, our ability to survive on the planet. lol
Sad about Fay Weldon. The first grown up book I read was a copy of The Life and Loves of a She Devil from my mum's bookshelf aged 14. She was smart, worldly, unpretentious, wickedly funny, deliciously cynical & able to skewer absurd politics with wit rather than cruelty. Love her

Fay Weldon was a great figure in British books, a lovely woman, and the unforgettable author of Life and Loves of a She-Devil. Also has the greatest autobiography title ever: Auto de Fay. RIP.
