About the Author

Carlson, Carol: - As a cop's kid, Carol Carlson was born into the "Thin Blue Line" and now is both mom and mother-in-law to two Memphis police officers. Since 2015, she has welcomed hundreds of police family members into the world of law enforcement with guidance and support. She has taught academy recruits how their jobs will impact their families, led police family orientations, and comforted many police mothers during difficult times. Founder and leader of MPD Moms and MPD Families in Memphis, and Administrator of the national Facebook group, Moms of Police Officers, Carol now resides in her hometown of Memphis, TN.
