About the Author

Gibbs, Paige: - PAIGE GIBBS was a founding member of the Shrunken Heads Theatre Collective. Her plays include Groundhog Day, Wallpaper Man (produced on ABC Radio), and Buying Esme. Her stage adaptation of Lockie Leonard, Human Torpedo was first produced by the WA Youth Theatre Company and was rewritten for the Perth Theatre Company for the Festival of Perth. Paige has also adapted Tim Winton's Cloudstreet for ABC Radio National.
Winton, Tim: - TIM WINTON has published twenty-eight books for adults and children, and his work has been translated into twenty-eight languages. Since his first novel, An Open Swimmer, won the Australian Vogel Award in 1981, he has won the Miles Franklin Award four times (for Shallows, Cloudstreet, Dirt Music and Breath) and twice been shortlisted for the Booker Prize (for The Riders and Dirt Music). He lives in Western Australia.
