Losers and Freaks

C. E. Hoffman

A pixie and werewolf plan to thwart a prophecy; a medical mannequin attempts to foil a viral attack. A girl befriends a spider; a janitor stalks a ghost; and Cupid makes a deadly mistake. LOSERS AND FREAKS is a 45K #OwnVoices short story collection. Exploring the psychology-and humanity-of outcasts, C's second full-length release is worthy to its predecessor, SLUTS AND WHORES, which helped earn the author a grant from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.

Praise for this book

"When I opened C.E. Hoffman's, LOSERS AND FREAKS, I knew I was in good hands when their author's note read, "This one's for the weirdos." C.E.'s humor and deft use of language set the stage for a heartfelt, funny, and surprising journey. This haunting collection broke my heart, yet somehow, left me full of hope, and feeling a little less alone. A little less weird."

-M.R. Mandell, author of Don't Worry About Me

"Had me glued to the page."
