When I lost my 16-year-old son, Quin, to a misdiagnosed illness, I was devastated. When I learned that his life-threatening illness HAD BEEN correctly diagnosed and went untreated by medical doctors, I was beside myself.
My search to find purpose in Quin's death took me through dark and treacherous waters of gross negligence reports and medical lawsuits. This book chronicles my experiences and details the insights I gained into the unforgiving organization of the American healthcare system. In telling my story, I hope to help others struggling to navigate the uncharted waters to find direction to become champions and advocates for quality care.
Throughout my journey to find answers, I found peace and unexpected forgiveness. My family and I have created a lasting legacy to honor Quin through The Quin Murphy Foundation. Our hope is to inspire young men and women to transform the healthcare system and prevent tragic deaths like Quin's from ever happening again.
