About the Author
Irvin D. Yalom, M.D., is an Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Stanford University. He is the author of numerous books, including The Gift of Therapy, The Schopenhauer Cure, and Staring at the Sun. He lives in Palo Alto, California.
