Maradona!: Collection
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Once Upon a Time in Naples next year, I've decided to release thirty-five of my favourite chapters from a large collection of Diego Maradona books that I've written. These follow Diego throughout his remarkable life and have been a delight to put together. From his young days christened as a boy King. Argentinos Juniors, Boca Juniors, FC Barcelona and the mad, seven years in Naples. It goes on and on. Scotland 79, Espana 82, Mexico 86, Italia 90 and so much more. The Butcher, the Camorra, Cuba, Fidel Castro and cocaine. So much white power. Until finally that sad day when Diego Armando Maradona was called by the Hand of God and the story came to an end. Born under a Villa Fiorito star they claimed, and in Naples, news of his death came first through horrific breaking-newsflashes. Mobile phone alerts wailing across the bay. A modern day symphony for the dead. But in between an astonishing life. This is my collection. I hope you enjoy.
