I teach college and write about comic books.
We may think Stan Lee’s jokey captions etc are fine, but many artists he worked Marvel-Method style with didn’t. Ditko especially. He talked often how his compositions were ruined by Lee and others, who would slap sound effects anywhere they wanted . . .
