The cooks at the restaurant know we're all juggling home, work, family, and social life and still trying to get dinner on the table. In Moosewood Restaurant Cooks at Home: Fast and Easy Recipes for Any Day, they've produced a collection of over 150 tempting meatless recipes that take less than 45 minutes to prepare without sacrificing taste, ease of preparation, or nutrition. You'll find recipes to satisfy every need and palate: Mexican Tomato Lime Soup, Curried Corn and Peppers, Feta Spinach Pizza, Cottage Cheese Apple Pancakes, Vegetables in Mint Vinaigrette, Pasta with Beans and Endive, Creamy Banana Ice - who would have ever thought that fast food could taste this good? Easy-to-read recipes are clearly labeled with cooking and preparation times and nutritional information, and there's a section that helps you find dishes for special needs, such as nondairy or vegan diets, cooking for company, or food for kids. Chapters on stocking the meatless pantry (with a list of recommended convenience foods), cooking techniques, and menu-planning and time-saving tips make Moosewood Restaurant Cooks at Home the essential volume for everyday cooking.
