About the Author

Jang, Eue-Soon: - Prof. Eue-Soon Jang, Ph.D., is a Professor at the Department of Applied Chemistry, Kumoh National Institute of Technology (KIT), South Korea. He worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford, USA. He also worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, POSTECH, South Korea. In addition, he worked as a Senior Researcher in the Department of Future Technology Research, Korea Telecom, South Korea. He received his B.Sc. degree from Department of Chemistry, Chungnam National University, South Korea, and his Master and Ph.D. degrees from Department of Chemistry, Seoul National University, South Korea. He served as the Editorial Board and reviewer of more than 70 journals and also served as the Guest editor of MDPI groups. He won the outstanding paper award from the Organizing Committee of the 6th Cross Straits Symposium on Materials, Energy and Environmental Engineering, South Korea. He received a Vice President Citation award from Korea Telecom due to outstanding contribution in the field of new technology business. He also received numerous academic awards in the last 20 years. His primary research interests are the investigation and development of nanobiomedicine for multimodal imaging-guided cancer therapy. His research program is mainly based on synthesis of various metal nanoparticles and crystal engineering of various solid nanoparticles. He developed a UV and near-infrared blocking agent for anti-aging cosmetics.
Manivasagan, Panchanathan: - Dr. Panchanathan Manivasagan is a Research Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Kumoh National Institute of Technology (KIT), South Korea. He worked as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Korea University, and also worked as a Research Visiting Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Pukyong National University in previous years. His research program is mainly based on the synthesis of near-infrared (NIR)-absorbing metal nanoparticles and their biomedical applications such as chemotherapy, phototherapy, chemodynamic therapy, sonodynamic therapy, immunotherapy, starvation therapy, and multimodal imaging (in vivo fluorescence imaging, photoacoustic imaging, CT imaging, and MR imaging). He has served as the Editorial Board and Reviewer of more than 55 journals and participated in many special issues of renowned journals as a guest editor.
Venkatesan, Jayachandran: - Dr. Jayachandran Venkatesan M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D. is an assistant professor in Yenepoya Research Centre (YRC), India. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Division of Bioengineering, Incheon National University, and Incheon, South Korea. Previously, he worked as a Research Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Marine Bioprocess Research Center (MBPRC) at Pukyong National University, South Korea. He received his Master of Science in chemistry from Thiruvalluvar University in 2005. Further, He received his Ph.D. from Pukyong National University in 2011. His primary research interests are the investigation and development of materials from marine sources for biomedical applications. Furthermore, he works on natural biomaterials for tissue engineering and drug delivery applications.
