About the Author

Seghers, Nick: - Nick has been interested in off-grid solar power for a long time. While researching different kinds of setups and devices, he found out that the information was scattered around the internet. It took him a long time to gather the necessary knowledge to build his very first off-grid system. He decided to combine his knowledge about off-grid solar power into one book. Now everybody could learn off-grid solar energy in minimal time.

Praise for this book

The book is as advertised. It gave me the information I needed to develop my solar system. I'm doing ground mount in my backyard and this book has helped me select the components for my system. I found the wiring chapter very useful, apparently, you need different type wires for each part of your system.

Good informative book. I found this book very informative for a beginner like me. Still technical but not too much, which was perfect!

Brilliant beginners guide! This book has it all. Choosing fuses and wiring, calculating loads for the system, tools needed, choosing batteries, solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, and more technical stuff! In short, a brilliant book to start building your system.

I love the circuits and diagrams in this book. This book doesn't only give you a good explanation but also offers diagrams to make it easier to understand. What I particularly liked was the chapter about choosing the wire sizes and the accompanying fuses.
