Off the Beaten Path

G. G. Baker

Kristin Palmer is teetering on the verge of emotional collapse. Her entire life has been an endless stream of glitz and glamor since she first stepped into the limelight of professional modeling at the age of sixteen. Now with her marriage and her self-assurance shattered, she can't think of a single reason why she should be in a hurry to get back to her life. Back to the successful modeling agency she built from nothing, back to friends that look at her with fear and pity, and back to her plush but painfully lonely penthouse apartment. Speeding north out of Los Angeles on her annual business trip, Kristin takes a random and impulsive detour that places her in a place that she has only dreamed of and an encounter with a man that was beyond her dreams.

About the Author

G G Baker was born in Billings Montana and grew up loving stories and storytelling. G G's earliest influence was the radio broadcasting icon Paul Harvey. Admiration for Paul Harvey's simple and eloquent style of telling a great story inspired GG to become one of the contributing writers on Paul Harvey's news and commentary. A twenty-five year career as a professional photographer gave G G a unique perspective on looking at life through the lens of a camera. After all, photography is visual story telling. The lessons G G Baker learned from photography has applied to writing a well. "I have learned that paying close attention to the smallest details is what makes a great story, and a great photograph." Off the Beaten Path... G G Baker's first work of fiction is an acknowledgement of good and evil, right and wrong, and how we quantify our morality.
